The 'S' in the S800 stands for 'Super' finished gears to help extend gear life. We include DCT Fluid which reduces gear smearing. These two things make this transmission your best option to allow 800lbft / 1000WHP through the OEM gears. It also includes our Carbon Clutch Seals and Billet Clutch Baskets to vastly improve the reliability and longevity of the clutch. After we upgrade your transmission, all you need to do is install it, relearn it, and hit the road. How easy was that!
OEM GR6 Gear Smearing:
The OEM 2-6 gears are very strong, but they have an overheating problem. The heat starts at the root of the tooth and the gear begins to 'smear' from the root out. As you stress the gear repeatedly this process will weaken the gear and it will break. The solution is obviously to keep the gear cool, but super slick fluid will make your clutches slip. So, how do you deal with that? Micro-Polishing reduces friction which will reduce the heat. On top of that we are also including our DCT fluid which is so slick and so durable that it helps to reduce gear overheating and smearing without changing clutch performance.

Optional Upgrades | <h3>Flexible Trans for Future Upgrades: </h3> <p>This S800 includes our extended spline billet clutch baskets. This means you never have to worry about baskets again! If you choose to make more power and need a bigger clutch in the future, these baskets can support the addition of many more plates to go as high as 1300ft/lb torque capability! The extended splines add the real estate needed for big clutch capability! </p> <p>On the gear side, this trans allows you to upgrade to an Albins or PPG 2-6 at any time. The easier it is to upgrade the more cost effective it becomes.</p> |

<p>We install, test and run each GR6 before it leaves our facility. We have 2 test-mule GTRs here purely for this purpose. The tests performed are:</p>

<h4>HEAVILY WORN OR DAMAGED UNITS</h4>
<p>Any additional parts needed which are not listed or not part of this build will cost extra to replace. We will email pictures and detailed information if this is the case. We know you do not like surprises, so we try to make this process as painless as possible. If this turns out to be the case, though, please keep in mind that we just want you to have a high quality built assembly. Having your vehicle down is bad enough, so why cut corners and risk it again? Quality is the key here and sometimes it costs more to do this on a specialty or aging platform. Simply put, it is not worth the risk of using a sub-par component if an inspection reveals it is a weak link. </p>
